We are excited to offer the opportunity for a front end developer to join our growing team. In this involving role you will become an integral member of our development team.
This role would suit a commercially experienced web developer looking to progress their career with a company offering scope for career progression whilst working on projects for household brands.
As a Front End Web Developer you will be responsible for replicating designs into standards compliant HTML/CSS. As such you should have a passion for usability, compatibility and accessibility along with an eye for improving web pages and visitor experience levels.
To be considered for this role you should possess:
- Commercial experience in a similar web development role
- A solid understanding of HTML & CSS with the ability to convert a Photoshop file into standards compliant web pages
- Outstanding attention to detail along with a desire to learn and keep abreast of the latest techniques
- Experience integrating web pages into common CMS platforms such as WordPress and Drupal
- The ability to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
Whilst not essential, PHP and Flash knowledge would be a distinct advantage to your application. SEO experience and a creative flair would also be beneficial.
Your duties will include:
- Discussing and planning projects from the early stages with the development team
- Receiving design files to be recreated into complete and high quality standards compliant web pages
- Providing support to the design and back end development team
- Assisting in the planning and estimating of development costs
The successful applicant will be expected to play a significant role in the development of this area of our business and therefore we are asking for previous industry experience.
